Privacy Policy

This policy explains what FileEDF (fileedf.com) collects and why. The short version: tools work in your browser, and we only store what you choose to save to an account.

Using tools without an account

When you fill the EDF form, an invoice or a letter, the data is processed in your browser and saved in your browser's local storage so it's there next time. It is not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it.

If you create an account

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Business profile: details you enter in tools (such as business name, address, PAN, GSTIN, bank name and AD code), synced so tools can pre-fill them.
• Saved documents: the EDFs, invoices and letters you explicitly save.

We use this data only to provide the service. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. You can delete individual documents from your dashboard; to delete your account entirely, contact us and we will erase it.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security (CSRF) cookie. We store your theme preference locally. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the PDF and QR features load open-source libraries from cdnjs.cloudflare.com; those providers may receive your IP address as part of the request.

Security

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid saving information you would not want stored online.
